Our client, Glasslines NZ Ltd, is a wholesale company with a long successful history and an extensive range of products and brands, including processed glass, window films, picture framing glass and insulated glass units such as double glazing. They have a purpose-built facility in Hautapu which is the main processing and distribution centre. With the latest equipment and software, they pride themselves for going the extra mile for their customers and delivering in full and on time.

Due to rapid growth, Glasslines have a great entry-level opportunity available for an Order Entry Operator to work within the customer service and processing teams. There is some flexibility around the hours of work and this role may suit someone like a student who is able to commit to 5-6 hours per day; however Glasslines are prepared to adapt the role for the right candidate.

The job will entail:

  • Inputting information and producing orders for complex shapes and patterns
  • Drawing shapes in the ERP system
  • Converting PDF drawings into 2D Cad/dxf files
  • Liaising with clients around requirements and altering client files for import.
  • Working with the processing factory team to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Writing SOP’s and training for the role.

Ideally, the best applicant will:

  • Have glass or manufacturing industry exposure
  • Preferably have some experience with CAD in Autocad Lite or Solid works; but Glasslines are prepared to provide training
  • Possess intermediate technical and IT skills
  • Have strong communication skills; playing a key role as the link between teams
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance requirements and take constructive feedback on board to adapt process and approach
  • Be a great team player.

The successful candidate would be joining a diligent, conscientious team of around 26, who are passionate about producing a high-quality product, and providing superior service for their customers.
