Production and Health & Safety Leader
Our client, Glasslines NZ Ltd, is a wholesale company with a long successful history and an extensive range of products and brands, including processed glass, window films, picture framing glass and insulated glass units such as double glazing.
They have a purpose-built facility in Hautapu which is the main processing and distribution centre. With the latest equipment and software, they pride themselves for going the extra mile for their customers and delivering in full and on time.
Glasslines are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join their growing team. The successful candidate will oversee the manufacturing and logistics operations, including the management of factory scheduling, work allocation, quality control, and productivity. Reporting to the General Manager; they will be the eyes and ears on the ground and will hold critical responsibilities for people leadership and health and safety.
The successful applicant will have:
- Preferably an engineering or glass manufacturing background
- Demonstrated background in leading and implementing health and safety processes and practices, preferably in a high risk environment.
- Solid experience gained within a production and assembly-based manufacturing environment
- Substantial planning, scheduling and QA experience
- Staff leadership, KPI management, plant optimisation and process improvement
- A hands on approach, operational insight and analytical ability is required
- Strong communication skills
You’ll be leading a diligent, conscientious team of around 26, who are passionate about producing a high-quality product, and providing superior service for their customers.
