Our client, The Fertco Group manufactures, blends, bags and dispatches fertiliser and animal health nutrition products. Fertiliser is their game, developing some of the most efficient nutrient products New Zealand farming has seen.

With sustained growth, Fertco now have an opportunity for a Senior Technical Sales Representative to join their successful team. This role will see you supporting the Sales Manager to a high degree; providing weekly reporting and industry insights and behaviours in the sales region. You will work alongside and with the greater Sales Team to share knowledge and experience for the success of the whole team; be able to work independently in your sales area to maintain the existing customer base and foster new business in the dairy, dry stock and horticulture industries.

You will have industry experience, be able to understand your customers, their needs, and demonstrate at all times how valuable your clients are through your high integrity and exceptional customer service. 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • An Agriculture or Horticulture qualification (desirable)
  • Have a background or exposure to the rural “life”
  • Proficient MS office suite skills 
  • High attention to detail with an eye for continuous improvement 
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet timelines
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to a broad range of people 
  • Energy, be reliable, and have a great “can do” attitude to make things happen
